Con Plus takes your safety, and the safety of all participants very seriously and is dedicated to providing a harassment-free experience for everyone, regardless of gender, gender identity and expression, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, body size, race, nationality, age, religion, or affiliation to teams, groups and/or organisations or any other minority group.
We do not tolerate harassment of any kind. Convention participants found to be violating our anti-harassment rules may be sanctioned or expelled from the convention at the discretion of the convention organisers.
The expectations placed upon you and all participants includes, but is not limited to:
- Verbal comments that reinforce social structures of domination relating to gender, gender identity and expression, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, body size, race, nationality, age, religion, or affiliation to teams, groups and/or organisations or other minority groups.
- Sexual images in tabletop sessions, panels, or other events.
- Deliberate intimidation or cyber-stalking.
- Disruption of games, panels, or other events.
- Inappropriate text messages or emails.
- Unwelcome sexual attention or advances.
- Advocating for, encouraging, or membership to any group or organisation which advocates or encourages any of the above behaviour.
If a participant engages in harassing behaviour, event organisers retain the right to take any actions to keep the event a welcoming environment for all participants. This includes warning the offender or expulsion from the convention and future events. Any participant asked to stop any harassing behaviour by either another participant or an event organiser is expected to comply immediately and without complaint.
Your attendance at this and other conventions is subject to you adhering to the behaviour standards of our events. We will share information of inappropriate behaviour with other conventions. If we are made aware of inappropriate behaviour at other conventions you will not be allowed entry into this convention.
There will be moderators present throughout the convention. In addition to this panel organisers and GMs are responsible for moderating the behaviour of other attendees in their own events. We do however urge all participants to be vigilant, and for inappropriate behaviour to be reported as soon as possible, should it be applicable to do so.
As an attendee, you are able to make a report to Con Plus at any time. Reporting anonymously is also an option. All reports will be dealt with in a timely manner and responded to by event organisers, however with anonymous reports we will not be able to follow them up directly with the complainant due to the nature of anonymous reporting. We may approach you to obtain more information about any incident(s) reported. We realise this may be distressing and we will handle the process as discreetly and professionally as we are able. We will never ask you to confront anyone and we will not disclose your involvement to others.
Personal reports can either be made through email at conplusteamgmail.com or by contacting a staff member in one of our moderated spaces. Anonymous reports can be made on our anonymous reporting page.
Our team of organisers and moderators will be happy to assist you further during the event to help you feel safe. All of us at Con Plus value your attendance and we hope each and every one of you has a fantastic time.
